The 49th Annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival
July 17, 18, 19 | 2026
ʔəy̓alməxʷ / Iy̓ál̓mexw Jericho Beach Park

Wishing you all a cozy and happy holiday season!

We’d like to thank you for your incredible support of the festival this summer. We salute the artists who travelled from around the world to perform on our stages and share their music with us. Our heartfelt thanks goes out to our amazing volunteers, dedicated board of directors, and the many community partners and sponsors who make our festival possible. At the heart of it all are the thousands of festival-goers who come to the park to enjoy the music, the atmosphere, and the community we create together through folk music—we are truly grateful.

Please note, our office is now closed to Monday, January 5. Email and voicemail will continue to be monitored over the break.

Join us for an incredible weekend of global sounds, homegrown talent, and contemporary folk music by the beach. Soak up inspiring summer workshops and daytime concerts, then settle in for unforgettable evenings of main stage music—it’s the perfect weekend for folk fans of all ages.

Weekend Passes are now on sale and offered at the lowest rates!

Choose from:
Adult: $189 | 65+: $179 | Youth: $139

This Holiday Rate offer is only available until end of day on December 31.

Grab our weekend pass today—and spread the holiday cheer by giving a pass to friends or family.

This holiday season, we invite you to stand with us to ensure that our festival continues to bring global roots, deep connection and joyful gathering to our community.

Every dollar you give will help sustain our three-day celebration of folk and world music at ʔəy̓alməxʷ / Iy̓ál̓mexw (Jericho Beach Park) — where artists from around the world meet people from our neighbourhoods.

Your donation will be matched dollar for dollar (up to $27,100).

Your support helps us:

  • present diverse and inspiring artists to audiences of all ages
  • provide a vibrant and accessible musical experience for all ages
  • keep the festival you love going for years to come

Will you make a gift today and help keep the music playing?

Corbin Murdoch, Executive Director

Join us in welcoming Corbin Murdoch, VFMF’s new Executive Director.

Corbin Murdoch is an arts leader with over two decades of experience as a programmer, producer, and administrator. He brings a passion for music, a background in Vancouver’s music community, and extensive experience in arts management to his new role with us.

VFMF has been a touchpoint in his cultural life. Corbin first attended the festival as a teenager, volunteered for over a decade, remained a loyal attendee, and previously served on the festival board of directors. Adding to his lifelong connection, his band, The Nautical Miles, performed at the festival in 2014.

Corbin will work closely with our Board of Directors and Artistic Director Fiona Black as we look ahead to celebrate our 50th milestone in 2027!

“I am honoured to lead VFMF as it embarks on its next chapter and prepares for its 49th festival. My goal is to carry forward its legacy as a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable cultural hub to present folk and roots music for years to come.” – Corbin Murdoch

Corbin and our team will be sharing more plans about VFMF 2026 this spring!

We are excited about the upcoming AGM and the opportunity to welcome new members to the board on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 on Zoom!

Since the 2025 Festival, the board has been very busy planning Festival 2026, and the AGM is a chance to bring you up to date on the latest developments.

Board Recruitment
Prior to the AGM, we invite folks to stand as candidates to fill a few vacant positions on our Board of Directors.
